The aviation industry is in crisis.

With the majority of flights still grounded and international borders still closed due to COVID-19, it is going to take longer for the aviation industry to recover than other parts of the economy.

Thousands of jobs hang in the balance as we wait to see if the Government will extend JobKeeper support past March. Australian aviation workers don’t know if they will have a job or how they will support their families and pay the bills.

On top of that there are thousands of Australian aviation workers currently being denied JobKeeper, for no reason other than a legal loophole, despite being previously promised Government support. These families have now been without pay for many months. They are struggling.

To stop this essential industry collapsing, we need jobs and companies protected so that when Australia is ready to fly, the aviation workers are too.

We need the Morrison Government to deliver an AviationKeeper package of support now!
